Remember the strategies:

• Lay the 0-0 halftime score in certain signalled matches

• I think these 2 teams were relegated to the Segunda Division together.
• 1-2, 2-1 Osasuna and a 3-2 Osasuna home win in the sole Segunda head to head. Real Betis took the lead in that match.
• this is 1st v 18th and that explains the odds I suppose. With a tight top 4, it seems imperative for Betis to get the win a home, and when expected to.

• this looks like the start of a brand new season in Sweden so all I have to go on in head to heads and 2014 league positions. Let’s take a quick look. The market has already made their minds up as to the emphatic winner, it seems, with ZERO form on offer!
• 3-0 and 5-0 home wins and a 1-1 draw at Atvidabery in the last 3 head to heads. The 3-0 and 5-0 certainly fit in with the quote today.
• this is 2nd v 8th from 2014  where Goteborg finished 6 points shy of top spot.
• only 4 defeats last season for Goteborg, 2 were home to 1st and 3rd. They finished last season with 9 wins in 11 matches.
• Atvidaberg lost all away matches v top 4 last season, conceding 3-5-4-1 goals. They only won 4 last season away, 3 were via clean sheets.

• although I don’t like researching matches with a favourite at 2.5, I will have a look here. 2.5 odds generally tell us this is a match in which both teams have an equal chance.
• Schalke are unbeaten in the last 8 head to heads. They have won the last 3. The last 2 head to heads were 1-2 and 1-0 so getting tighter.
• this is 6th v 5th in the Bundesliga – hence the reason the favourite is 2.5 today!

Augsburg

• only 2 draws all season were 2-2 which suggests a lay the draw policy, trading wise, has been a success this season in Augsburg matches.
• all defeats bar 3 came away from home. 3 home defeats v 1st, 10th and 11.

• If focussing on head to heads, Schalke would be the team , Full stop! Based on recent form, Schalke have very poor away from which suggests they will struggle against a top 6 side ( where they reside too in 5th).
• Lay any late 0-0
• I guess the nature of the form ( head to heads point to Schalke, recent form points to opposing Schalke) re-iterates my opinion that 2.5 favourites are there by sufferance and the match is too tight to call and best left alone unless some killer inplay stats come to mind.
