It has been quiet week football-wise, primarily down to the continuation of the International Break. There have been some good trades but, again, I implore you to take a look at the tennis.
I do post some trading angles at the DRT Facebook page so take a look there for some of the ways I approach the tennis.
We are in the midst of pre-Grand Slam tennis tournaments. Wimbledon is lurking around the corner. These pre-Grand Slam tournaments see the big named players seeking to get some quality grass-court form under their belts and positive momentum to bring into the Wimbledon Grand Slam.
I have started to do some tennis research at the DRT Bulletin . This research using the excellent website www.tennisinsight.com
I try to be logical with my research e.g.if a player such as Kevin Anderson has not played since March 2019, then we can infer that he has had an injury and may not be 100% fit. So…lay Anderson if he wins the first set? Logical and , more importantly, we’re laying at short odds so liabilities are kept lower.
I also follow seeded players. Had you followed Number 1 seed Tsitsipas at Queens , you could have layed his opponent Chardy at 1.06 odds ….and WON!!
Had you followed Federer ( who has reached the quarter final in Halle for the last , what is it, 300 years?) then back him at high odds in-play. He obliged yesterday.
Tennis trading is great for DRT trading. Instead of goals, think about breaks in serve or lost opening sets.
There’s be more tennis this weekend. And I intend to cover the early rounds of Wimbledon too. There’s money in them-there Henman Hills!
