Review of yesterday's matches.

1-1 at halftime in the East Timor U23 match. East Timor U23 did score first. 3-2 to Laos U23 full-time. Estonia won 0-2  - a surprise away to Finland but I suppose this is the risk in friendlies isn't it? France Women won 1-0 v England Women. I would have layed England Women if they scored first. 4-0 to Jonkopings here. They scored first. 2-2 was alive at 2-2 but Angelholms did not score. 1-2 to Ukraine in the head to head v Georgia went as per the odds. This was a match to avoid the draw and that came in easily. St Pats won with ease and although Bohemians scored, they didn't score first to allow a DRT lay. 0-0 at halftime in the Wexford Youths match. The research pointed to laying any draw so did you lay the 0-0 2nd half? 2-0 Wexford Youths at full-time. Colombia Women's match ended 1-1. The first goal came 36th minute. I would have played this match had the match been 0-0 at halftime. Spain women as you see yesterday are not the dominant force that the male side is. 1-1 it ended. Alas Costa Rica did not score first to allow a trade. On to today....

Where I mention BANKER below, this signifies those matches where I think the favourites should win. These matches I would personally prioritise as regards DRT.

Remember the strategies:

Lay the 0-0 halftime score in certain signalled matches.

Lay the 0-0 2nd half in matches where goals were expected but have not yet materialised.

Lay the 2-2 scoreline, especially early on in matches. 2-2 shows us that teams are scoring and conceding.

Lay the away team leading 0-2 before halftime, especially if they are not the pre-market favourites. The home team is usually galvanised by the halftime team talk.

Lay the underdog if they score first in certain matches (especially BANKER matches where I would back the BANKERS if they conceded first at enhanced odds).

Lay the underdog scoring early in the first half, in the HALF TIME market, especially in BANKER matches.

Do note matches where one team is red carded. The opponents do tend to score next more often than not.

4pm - Olympiakos Volou v AEK  - 1.53 away

Standout Stats

  • This is a division 2 play-off , in a table format. The first 2 teams are the ones promoted amongst a 6 team mini-league.
  • Win , Loss, Loss, Loss for Olympiakos Volou so far in this play-off.
  • This is the first time they meet an AEK side dominant in this play -off and likely to seal promotion.
  • LWWWWWDDD (L=Loss, W=Win, D=Draw) in the play-offs for AEK athens. I am not sure how the points work as AEK are shown with 28 points which is clearly not right unless they got points for finishing in a certain position in the league?

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • A bit of a score draw sequence for AEK so far suggests they can equalise of Volou take the lead. AEK are the form side here and this I think is the last match in the play-off sequence. AEK can seal promotion , in fact I think they are promoted already. Volou have nothing to play for.

6:20pm - GAIS v Utsiktens  - 1.92 home

Standout Stats

  • 0-3 to Gais in head to heads.
  • This is 11th v 13th in the Swedish Superettan.

  • Only 4 wins.
  • 5 of 6 defeats this season came away from home.
  • Only wins at home v bottom and 2nd bottom.
  • 3 of 4 wins came v the current bottom 3.
  • Conceded in their last 10 matches.
  • Scored and conceded in their last 4 at home and DWDW (D=Draw, W=Win).
  • Scored 6 of 8 home goals in the 2nd half.

  • Conceded in their last 6 away matches and last 5 matches overall.
  • Only 3 wins all season.
  • 4 defeats away were to nil.
  • Only 1 clean sheet.
  • 6 consecutive 1-0's before halftime

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • Favour the home side I think although both sides are tending to beat bottom 3 sides so these 2 will not be winning the title. GAIS are far better at home and that is where they are getting their points.
  • Lay the 0-0 halftime score as Utsiktens keep conceding at least 1 goal before halftime.
  • Lay Utsiktens if they score first.

7pm - Valladolid v Las Palmas  - 2.44 home

Standout Stats

  • I think this is the end of the Spanish Segunda season and we are entering the play-offs. This is a promotion play-off semi-final and it's the 1st of 2 between these 2. The winners will meet either Girona or Zaragoza for a LA Liga place.

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • Both teams scored in the 2014, 2015 meetings. Will that happen again? What of the away goal rule? Is that valid here?
  • If so then the tactics of these 2 legged affairs will show a much different game to the Final which is a one-off winner takes all match. This is just halftime.
  • No angles in I'm afraid. We will have angles in 2nd match.

7:15pm - Switzerland v Liechtenstein  - 1.08 home

Standout Stats

  • No recent head to heads.
  • 2 consecutive draws for Switzerland in friendlies should end today. Liechtenstein won 1-0 against San Marino.
  • Liechtenstein have conceded 3/5 goals maximum in recent matches and that I suppose is the limit we should look for for the Swiss team to aim for.

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • 3-0 to 5-0 Swiss team today has legs. As ever folks, they should lead at halftime so pray for a 0-0 halftime until the 40th minute so we can lay the 0-0 halftime score.

7:45pm - Germany v USA  - 1.45 home

Standout Stats

  • The last friendly between these 2 was a 4-3 USA win.
  • Only 2 losses in the last 14 for Germany in friendlies, one was the 4-3 v USA and the other a 2-4 v Argentina.
  • In March 2015, Germany drew 2-2 with Australia.
  • This match is being played in Koln so is a home match. Only 2 losses in their last 8 matches for Germany in friendlies. Germany do not treat friendlies in the same way that they treat competitive matches. They have conceded 3-3-0-0-2-1-4-2 in recent home friendlies.
  • The USA beat the Netherlands on the 5th June 3-4, 2 of the goals came 89th and 90th minute, typical I suppose of uncompetitive matches post -season.
  • I suppose with the Euro qualifiers coming up, Germany will take this with a degree of import but it remains that they don't take friendlies seriously and at 1.45 are not backable pre-match by any stretch of the imagination. I would lay Germany if they scored first.

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • With a qualifier on the 13th June 2015, Germany may make halftime changes. They are not backable today at such short odds and I would encourage laying them if they scored first today.
