Where I mention BANKER below, this signifies those matches where I think the favourites should win. These matches I would personally prioritise as regards DRT.

Remember the strategies:

Lay the 0-0 halftime score in certain signalled matches

Lay the 0-0 2nd half in matches where goals were expected but have not yet materialised

Lay the 2-2 scoreline, especially early on in matches. 2-2 shows us that teams are scoring and conceding.

Lay the away team leading 0-2 before halftime, especially if they are favourites. The home team is usually galvanised by the halftime team talk.

Lay the underdog if they score first in certain matches (especially BANKER matches where I would back the BANKERS if they conceded first at enhanced odds)

Lay the underdog scoring early in the first half, in the HALF TIME market , especially in BANKER matches.

Did you trade the Leicester match? Leicester took the lead before halftime. Chelsea won 1-3 in the 2nd half. And another? How about the banker? Real Madrid to lead at halftime. They left it very late - the 45th minute - and that's where the big money is! Delay to the death!  Did you lay Fiorentina away to Juventus? They scored first with a penalty. Juventus won 3-2. Genoa fit into the 0-2 trade. Milan scored to make it 1-2 for another nice trade. Oh and let's not forget Olympiakos who, admittedly, had a comfortable 0-3 cup lead in Greece. Well, Apollon scored first. The benefit of inplay stats showed Olympiakos with some 20 shots on goal. I therefore layed Apollon at 1.86 and Oly scored an equaliser. Do remember that 1.12 shots rarely lose, even when they don't necessarily had to win a match.

5pm - Viborg v Vejle  - 1.52 home

Standout Stats

  • 1-1 and 0-1 Viborg in recent head to heads.
  • This is 1st v 9th in the Danish 1st division.

  • Only 1 loss all season was a 1-0 loss away
  • 3 consecutive draws, and 2 0-0's in their last 3 matches.
  • 6 clean sheets in their last 7 at home
  • No defeat in 13 at home
  • 8 clean sheets in their last 10 matches.
  • Only 23% over 2.5 goals all season.
  • 30 scored at home and only 6 conceded. Only 1 goal conceded in the 2nd half at home

  • No win in 3 away
  • Scored and conceded in their last 2 matches.
  • Only 2 wins in their last 8 away matches.
  • 2 consecutive away draws

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • The home side look strong but 0-0 is currently in play with Viborg with their 2 0-0's in their last 3 matches. Lay Vejle if they score first as Viborg have only lost 1 match.
  • Perhaps lay the late draw. Viborg might want to end that draw sequence which sees them drop 2 points with each draw.

6pm - Gefle v IFK Goteborg  - 1.74 away

Standout Stats

  • 5-0, 1-1, 1-1 for Gefle in home head to heads. This is a match where the home team has the advantage.
  • This is 9th v 3rd after 5 matches in Sweden
  • Goteborg go top with a win.
  • Gefle have no win in their last 3 matches. 2 losses and a draw.
  • 2 clean sheets for Gefle at home.
  • Goteborg have 4 wins and a loss this season scoring 2 and 3 in their last 2 matches.

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • Far too early in the season to take sides here. The motivation is with Goteborg to go top, albeit very early in the season.
  • Gefle are unbeaten in 2 home head to heads, so lay them perhaps if they score first here today.

630pm - Galatasaray v Sivasspor  - 1.56 home

Standout Stats

  • Oh Lordy -the Turkish Cup, as reliable as the yet-to-be broken promises of a desperate politician at election time.
  • Both teams have scored in their last 6 head to heads.
  • Galatasary have won 4 of their last 5 head to heads.
  • This I think is the first leg of 2 cup matches.
  • Only 2 losses for Gala in their last 15 cup matches.
  • 4-0-3-4-4 scored in recent home cup matches.
  • Sivasspor are unbeaten in 8 cup matches, going to extra time in 2 of their last 3. 2 consecutive 1-1 draws.
  • 2-2-2-1 scored away in recent cup matches.

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • The first of 2 legs and ideally a watching brief as this is the Turkish Cup. Both teams to score seems to resonate here and laying Sivasspor if they score first is a good tactic here given Galatasary have scored readily in recent cup matches.

7pm - Rayo Vallecano v Valencia  - 1.9 away

Standout Stats

  • Another Chuckle Brothers match " to me, to you" between Sevilla who won yesterday in their battle with Valencia for a top 4 spot. It's Valencia's turn now.
  • 3 consecutive Valencia wins in head to heads, albeit in the Copa Del Rey
  • This is 11th v 5th in La Liga. Again, Valencia go 4th by 2 points with a win today.
  • Not traditional research today because Rayo, you feel, are safe from home and happy in mid-table mediocrity ( albeit not mathematically so).
  • Rayo have not had a draw in 31 matches which is an amazing stat we can perhaps use today.
  • 5 wins in their last 6 home matches, Rayo lost only to Real Madrid.
  • No win for Rayo yet v top 5 home or away.
  • They have failed to score at home to top 4
  • Only 5 losses v Valencia saw them lose 2 v Barcelona. Valencia are poorer away from home, winning only 1 v top 9 away.
  • Only 2 losses for Valencia in 20 matches, one was v Barcelona.

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • I would have to favour valencia here based on their need for that top 4 spot. Rayo's long avoidance of the draw suggests we lay any late draw, although looking at Valencia, we see they tend towards 1-1 in a few away matches.
  • So lay the late draw.
  • Lay Rayo if they score first, although they have failed to score at home v top 4.

7pm - Rosenborg v Start  - 1.25 home

Standout Stats

  • 2-4 and 3-2 for Rosenborg in the last 2 head to heads.
  • This is 1st v 9th after 4 matches into the Norwegian season.
  • 3 wins and a draw for Rosenborg this season, scoring 5-6-4 in their wins.
  • Start have yet to, well, start. 1-1, 2-1 win, 1-1, 2-3 loss in their 4 matches.

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • Too little to go on but a feeling both teams could score today so lay Start if they score first.
  • I think Rosenborg will simply outscore Start today as they have done in head to heads. With that in mind, over 3.5 goals might have a shout today, albeit with little much to go on.

7:45pm - Empoli v Napoli  - 1.84 away

Standout Stats

  • Only 1 recent relevant head to head was a 2-2 and Napoli came back from 0-2 down
  • This is 16th v 4th in Seria A. Empoli are 11 points clear of relegation. Napoli are 4 points from 2nd placed Lazio

  • No defeat in 5 at home.
  • Have scored in their last 6 at home, scoring and conceding in their last 3 at home
  • 13 draws in their last 20 matches.
  • Empoli have conceded 2-4-2-2 in their last 4 matches. 2 consecutive 2-2 results, just as they did away to Napoli!
  • Only 3 wins in 20 matches came at home.
  • Only 1 win at home to top 10 was 2-1 v Lazio. Draws v 7th, 8th, 9th , 10th at home
  • 4 0-0's at home
  • 7 0-0's at halftime at home ( 44%)

  • No draw in 9 away
  • 3 consecutive wins.
  • 3-3-4 scored in their last 3 matches.
  • 4 consecutive away defeats ended with a win v Cagliari.
  • Unbeaten away v 14th and lower.
  • No 0-0

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • Napoli are the better side, I think we can conclude from their coming back from 0-2 down. Empoli are conceding heavily and could do so again against a Napoli scoring 10 goals in their last 3 matches.
  • I will favour Napoli today and lay Empoli if they score first.
  • Lay the 0-0 halftime score based largely on the hope that Napoli score as they have done recently

9pm - Granada v Espanyol  - 2.66 home

Standout Stats

  • 3 consecutive Espanyol wins in head to heads.
  • This is 19th v 10th in La Liga.
  • Granada remain 2nd bottom with a win today. Espanyol remain 10th with a win.
  • The odds of 2.66 suggest this match is too tight to call so I'm not going head first into this. Just a cursory glance at the standout stats to see if there is a solid trading angle in.
  • Granada have lost only 1 of their last 11 home matches but have drawn 8 of those matches.
  • Only 4 wins this season for Granada.
  • Espanyol have all draws away v 15th and lower.
  • Only 1 loss in 7 was against Barcelona.  This run includes a 0-0 v Atl Madrid, win v Villareal so good stuff

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • The draw really resonates here with both sides. Is it too much to expect another draw? I would, in this case, lay any team winning this match LATE on in the match in the hope of a draw.
  • The odds of 2.66 suggest we cannot really pick a side to favour.
