Where I mention BANKER below, this signifies those matches where I think the favourites should win. These matches I would personally prioritise as regards DRT.

Remember the strategies:

Lay the 0-0 halftime score in certain signalled matches

Lay the 0-0 2nd half in matches where goals were expected but have not yet materialised

Lay the 2-2 scoreline, especially early on in matches. 2-2 shows us that teams are scoring and conceding.

Lay the away team leading 0-2 before halftime, especially if they are not the pre-market favourites. The home team is usually galvanised by the halftime team talk.

Lay the underdog if they score first in certain matches (especially BANKER matches where I would back the BANKERS if they conceded first at enhanced odds).

Lay the underdog scoring early in the first half, in the HALF TIME market, especially in BANKER matches.

Do note matches where one team is red carded. The opponents do tend to score next more often than not.

11:00 UK Anzhi Makhachkala v Shinnik Yaroslavl - 1.18 home

Standout Stats

  • 0-1 Anzhi and 0-0 in the last 2 head to head.
  • This is 1st v 6th in the Russian first division.

  • Anzhi are joint 1st.
  • 2 matches remain this season and both are must-wins for Anzhi
  • 7 match winning streak at home
  • No draw in 10 at home
  • Scored in their last 14 at home
  • Only 3 losses since November 2014 came away from home
  • Scored 2+ goals in the last 7 match at home
  • All wins v top 10 at home
  • Only 1 0-0 at home

  • Failed to score in their last 2 away
  • Only 2 defeats in their last 15 matches. Anzhi were the team to beat them before this run.
  • 3 clean sheets in their last 4 matches
  • 3 draws in 4 matches away to top 5 sides

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • 1.18 suggests Anzhi score 3+ goals and that is not something that has occured that often this season. Anzhi's wins tend to come via clean sheets or conceding only a single goal.
  • The motivation is with the home side. Form wise they are expected to score 2+ goals.
  • Shinnik are in good form.
  • 1.18 as you know suggests a goal at least below halftime so lay the 0-0 halftime score.

11:30 UK Empoli v Sampdoria - 2.5 home

Standout Stats

  • Sampdoria have won the last 3 head to heads, 2 of them 1-0 wins.
  • This is 16th v 7th in Seria A and is a dead rubber. Empoli are safe from relegation and Sampdoria gain very little with a win today
  • 2 matches remain this season.
  • Only 5 wins for Empoli since 1st December 2014.
  • Empoli have been scoring readily at home lately - 2-3-1-3-2-4-2 scored recently  - very consistent.
  • 2-2, 4-2, 2-3 in recent home matches.
  • Empoli have scored and conceded in their last 5 home matches.
  • Unbeaten at home v 6th-15th inclusive

  • Only 1 win in 8 matches. Foot off the gas?
  • Last 2 away matches have been entertaining 4-2 loss and 1-4 win
  • Have only lost one match home and away v 10th and lower in the league.
  • 19 of 24 goals scored away came 2nd half.

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • Questionable motivation for Sampdoria who are the form team based on losing only 1 match home and away v 10th and lower. Were they to show this form, they'll be competitive today.
  • The odds tell you that the market hasn't got a clue here.
  • The recent scorelines for both teams suggest both teams could score 2+ goals. Back 2-2 pre match in this expectation? The correct score should be tradeable if this match is as exciting as recent matches.

11:30 UK Vitesse v PEC Zwolle - 1.44 home

Standout Stats

  • Time to leave the Dutch Eredivisie alone was a few weeks ago. They seemed to down tools as soon as PSV won the league.
  • Still I think there will be goals as there were in the Dutch matches last time.

12:30 UK Celtic v Inverness CT - 1.28 home

Standout Stats

  • This is a dead rubber and Celtic are favoured today.
  • 1-0 Inverness, 1-0 Celtic, 1-1, 1-1 in the most recent head to heads.

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • The market expects Celtic to win and celebrate infront of their home support. Recent matches have seen Celtic open the scoring 2nd half. If 0-0 at halftime, lay the 0-0 2nd half.

14:30 UK Kaiserslautern v Ingolstadt - 1.55 home

Standout Stats

  • 2-0 to Ingolstadt in the last head to head.
  • This is 4th v 1st in the German Bundesliga 2

  • Kaiserslautern could go 2nd with a win.
  • No win in 2 home matches.
  • 2 losses and a draw in their last 3 matches.
  • 6 wins, a draw and a loss in their last 8 home matches.
  • Only 1 loss at home.
  • 0-0 at home to 2nd, 2-0 v 3rd at home.
  • Only 1 0-0 at home

  • Scored and conceded in their last 5 matches.
  • Only 4 defeats in their last 4 matches.
  • Failed to score in only 2 matches.
  • Against top 8 away, clean sheets v 3rd, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • I know Kaiserslautern go 2nd with a win, but Ingolstadt , if having their game face on, will be tough to beat.
  • Ingolstadt are Champions so Kaiser will hope they have overdosed on Dunkelbeer and Frankfurters.
  • Faith in the home side needing the win v a Chelsea/Bayern type of team who might simply take their foot off the gas

15:00 UK Aston Villa v Burnley  - 2.05 home

Standout Stats

  • 1-1 earlier this season between these 2.
  • Aston Villa are safe . Burnley are down.
  • Aston Villa have scored in their last 7 matches and home fans will be wiping the sweat off their brow having survived by what could be only  1 point.
  • 2 consecutive clean sheets for Burnley.

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • Another dead rubber and impossible to predict.

15:00 UK Man City v Southampton  - 1.5 home

Standout Stats

  • 4-1 and 0-3 for Man City in the last 2 head to heads.
  • This is 2nd v 7th in the Premiership.Man City are 2nd guaranteed. If Southampton win, they could go 5th today so adequate motivation for them.
  • 6 and 4 goals scored by City in their last 2 matches.
  • 6 consecutive home wins and the last home match of the season
  • Saints have not won in 6 away matches. 4 consecutive defeats away  from home might explain the odds for City today despite the need being with Southampton.

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • Saints matches v teams above them have been 1-1, 1-0 loss, 0-1 win, 2-1 loss and 1-0 loss. So they could give City a game today with a win helping a possible push for 5th ( dependent on the odds).
  • Over 2.5 goals a possible today? City could score 2 and Saints 1 at least?

15:00 UK Chelsea v Sunderland  - 1.36 home - Unbeaten home record for Chelsea this season so expect them to protect this.

Standout Stats

  • A celebration for both teams today. The Champions play their last home match. Sunderland will have smiles a mile wide  as they are safe as houses today.
  • 0-0 in the last head to head.Sunderland won 1-2 the match before that.
  • Like Paris St Germain, Chelsea have an unbeaten home record to retain today and that is great motivation.
  • Sunderland have not beaten any side away v top 9.

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • I would favour Chelsea today based on retaining a home record. There is nothing else to play for. Lay Sunderland if they score first.

15:00 UK Arsenal v West Brom  - 1.33 home

Standout Stats

  • 2 consecutive 1-0 Arsenal wins in head to heads.
  • This is 3rd v 13th in the Premiership.
  • I think Arsenal will remain 3rd even with a loss today as they have a current 11 goal positive difference with Man Utd.
  • This is effectively a dead rubber.

  • Arsenal have failed to score in 3 home matches now . Surely this will end today, won't it?
  • Only 1 win in 5 matches .
  • All wins bar 2 draws at home v 9th and lower.
  • 67% Over 2.5 goals at home.
  • 37 goals scored at home, 23 in the 2nd half.

West Brom

  • No defeat in 5 matches.
  • Have beaten Man Utd and Chelsea in 2 of their last 3 matches.
  • Lost 2-0 and 3-0 away to 1st and 2nd.
  • 3 of 4 wins away were 0-1.

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • Another dead rubber match. I will take a chance on Arsenal scoring today , ending a run of 3 at home without scoring. Lay West Brom therefore if they score first, but perhaps cover the 0-1 as they have won 0-1 3 times away from home.

15:00 UK Stoke v Liverpool  - 2.1 away

Standout Stats

  • 3 consecutive Liverpool wins in head to heads, 1-0, 3-5, 1-0
  • This is 9th v 5th in the Premiership.
  • A win for either of these sides will do nothing for these sides. They will remain where they are. I suppose Liverpool win will secure 5th spot with Spurs and Southampton breathing down their necks.

  • Scored in the last 10 at home
  • Only 1 loss in 6 matches.
  • Have beaten Southampton and Tottenham in 2 of the last 3 home matches.
  • Only 2 defeats at home v teams above them in the league, v 1st and 2nd.
  • No 0-0 at home

  • No win in 4 away
  • Scored and conceded in their last 3 matches.
  • Only 2 wins in 8 matches were against QPR and Newcastle.
  • Clean sheets away v 6th -10th
  • Only 2 0-0's away

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • I think Liverpool would like the win in order to secure 5th place today. They have won the last 3 head to heads. But Liverpool are in dire form. If the only teams you beat are QPR and Newcastle lately, then things are not good. Stoke recently beat Southampton and Spurs and have a good record v teams above them in the league.
  • On form, Stoke are favoured today. Motivation wise, Liverpool are favoured.

15:00 UK Newcastle v West Ham  - 1.73 home

Standout Stats

  • 0-0, 1-3 Newcastle win, 1-0 West Ham win in the last 3 head to heads.
  • This is 17th v 11th in the Premiership. This is a must-win for Newcastle . If Hull draw or lose, Newcastle are safe. They cannot rely on this though, although they will be pleased that Man Utd are playing Hull.
  • A draw for Newcastle is not enough as they have a negative goal difference.
  • 9 losses and a draw for Newcastle in their last 10 matches.
  • Only 2 wins in 15 matches for West Ham
  • Newcastle have a good record at home v 9th and lower, only losing 1 match.
  • West Ham are unbeaten home and away v bottom 4

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • A must win for Newcastle. It's the only way for them to have their future in their own hands. Luckily they meet a West Ham side who are dreaming of their 2 weeks in Saaafeeend.
  • How on earth are Newcastle going to engineer a win after 9 losses and a draw? Good luck there. Inplay stats will determine any confidence in Newcastle

15:00 UK Leicester v QPR  - 1.55 home

Standout Stats

  • This is a dead rubber. Leicester will be in celebratory mood today. They have another year in the Premiership. QPR are down.
  • 6 wins, a draw and a loss to Chelsea for Leicester saved their season. They are obviously the form side here but motivation is questionable now.

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • A very short price for a dead rubber. I would be laying it but QPR are so bad that they cannot be relied upon.

15:00 UK Everton v Tottenham  - 2.4 home

Standout Stats

  • Spurs are unbeaten in the last 4 head to heads , winning the last 2 at home.
  • This is 10th v 6th in the Premiership. I am not sure if there is any benefit in a top 10 place, bar the kudos. If Everton lose or draw, they might lose 10th. Spurs have 5th in their sights and a win today will ensure that Liverpool must win to retain 5th.
  • 6 wins, 2 losses and a draw for Everton lately. Solid end to the season coincided with the end of their Europa League campaign.
  • A run of 8 unbeaten at home ended with Sunderland winning latest.
  • Everton are unbeaten v 2nd - 8th inclusive at home, keeping clean sheets v teams either side of Spurs
  • Only 3 wins in 9 for Spurs were v Leicester, Newcastle and Hull
  • Only 2 defeats away v teams below them in the league.

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • Tottenham have the motivation and the form. Interesting though that Everton are unbeaten at home v 2nd - 8th inclusive.
  • Not a match where I can get a real angle in.

15:00 UK Hull v Man Utd  - 2.25 away

Standout Stats

  • 3-1 and 3-0 to Man Utd in the last 2 head to heads.
  • If Hull win and Newcastle lose, Hull stay up. If Newcastle draw and Hull win, Hull could stay up on goal difference.
  • If United win, Arsenal remain 3rd on goal difference unless United post a massive win today.
  • The painful truth is that Hull have only won 1 match home and away v top 8 sides. All home defeats bar a win v Liverpool v top 8 at home
  • Hull were highly competitive at home to 1st, 2nd and 3rd 2-3, 2-4 and 1-3
  • Man Utd are distinctly iffy away from home. They are yet to concede away v bottom 4.

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • This could be a goal fest today as per Hull's matches v the top 2. I could see 4+ goals in this. If 0-0 for a period, back over 3.5 goals speculatively. If United lead 0-2, lay them in the expectation of a Hull battle.
  • Concerns for Hull? 3 clean sheets away v bottom 4 for United.
  • Look for possible goals today in the must win for the home side.

15:00 UK Crystal Palace v Swansea  - 2.25 home

Standout Stats

  • A celebration of sorts at Selhurst Park. Palace are in the Premiership for another year and they look an impressive team.
  • 1-1 in the 2 2014 head to heads
  • No draw in 12 for Palace sees 4 losses in their last 5 matches. Impressive displays against Chelsea ( penalty to win), Man Utd and a 1-3 win over Liverpool latest fills the fans with confidence for next year.
  • No win in 3 at home though scoring 0-0-1.
  • Palace have conceded in their last 15 matches and have only 1 draw v 16th and higher at home
  • Only 1 draw in 13 for Swansea so we have a potential lay the draw angle in here today.
  • 3 wins in a row, including v Arsenal, ended with a loss to Man City for Swansea.
  • 4 wins in their last 6 away matches.
  • Only 1 draw for the Swans v 14th and higher away from home.

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • I have liked watching Palace and predict possible top 10 for them next season. They could go top 10 with a win and a couple of other sides faltering.
  • The big angle is the draw in this dead rubber. Lay any late draw.

16:00 UK Istra v Dinamo Zagreb - 1.53 away

Standout Stats

  • 5 consecutive wins for Zagreb in head to heads.2 away came to nil
  • This is 8th v 1st in the Croatian top league.
  • There seems to be an easy angle into this match. Dinamo Zagreb are unbeaten home and away this season.
  • They have drawn 5 of their last 8 away matches, but, yes, remain unbeaten.
  • Istra have drawn their last 3 home matches as part of a run of 8 unbeaten.
  • The last team to beat Istra at home were Dinamo Zagreb 0-4

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • Lay Istra if they score first and depend on Zagreb keeping that unbeaten record.

16:30 UK Dynamo Moscow v Arsenal Tula - 1.35 home

Standout Stats

  • 1-2 to Dinamo Moscow in the last head to head.
  • This is 4th v 15th in the Russian Premier League.
  • I think the top 5 is of some importance in Russia and with 2 matches remaining, Dinamo have not secured a top 5 berth.
  • Tula must win their last 2 matches and hope that Rostov, Ural and Ufa do them a synchronisitous favour - it's unlikely to happen. They seem doomed, Capt. Mainwaring.

Dynamo Moscow

  • No defeat in 3 at home
  • Only loss in 8 home matches was v Zenit
  • All 3 home defeats v top 6. 6 wins and 2 draws at home v 8th and lower. On this form, Dynamo are unlikely to get beaten
  • 17 of 28 home goals were scored first half.

Arsenal Tula

  • No draw in 13 away matches.
  • A quite amazing 9 1-0 scorelines in their last 10 away matches.
  • Failed to score in 3 of their last 4 matches.
  • All 0-1 wins away, bar 1, came v 11th and lower in the league.
  • All defeats away v top 6.
  • Conceded 11 of their 14 away goals in the 2nd half.

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • A quite astounding away stat for Tula could see Dynamo Moscow needing a solid defence if they are to win.  I would lay the 0-0 halftime score based only on Tula conceding a large number of goals away 1st half. Do delay to get some value as this could reasonably be 0-0 for a while.
  • The form is with Dynamo Moscow. Tula are losing v top 6.
  • Lay any late draw.
  • If Tula score first, lay them but cover the 0-1 scoreline incase ( and if the odds are big enough)

18:00 UK Galatasaray v Besiktas - 2 home Galatasary not to lose as a potential banker here.

Standout Stats

  • Galatasary are unbeaten in the last 9 head to heads, winning the last 4.
  • This is 1st v 3rd in Turkish Super Lig.
  • Besiktas cannot win the title. They can come 2nd ( pending Fenerbahce's results) if winning their 2 remaining matches.
  • If Galatasary win their 2 remaining matches, they are champions. If they win today, Fenerbahce MUST win their next match to stay in the title hunt.
  • If Gala win today and Fenerbahce lose, Gala will be champions.
  • This is Gala's last home match of the season.

  • 5 match winning streak, 4 at home
  • 4 1-0 wins in their last 5 matches.
  • 9 wins and 2 2-2 draws in their last 11 home matches.
  • 5 consecutive clean sheets.
  • Have scored 2 v all top 5 at home this season.
  • Only 1 loss at home v 5th
  • 69% over 2.5 goals at home
  • Only 1 0-0 at home

  • Messed up their title challenge with 1-1,1-1, 0-1 loss in their last 3 matches.
  • Lost all matches v the top 2 this season, without scoring.
  • Only lost 1-0 away to Fenerbahce.

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • On recent form I cannot see Besiktas winning this match. Galatasary have the best of it in head to heads, and this season with a win to nil. They are adept at this win to nil and I would definitely be opposing Besiktas if they take the lead.

19:00 UK Steaua Bucharest v FC Botosani - 1.15 home banker

Standout Stats

  • 3 consecutive wins for Steaua in the head to heads
  • This is 2nd v 8th in the Romanian top league.

Steaua Bucharest

  • A win could take them top today
  • No win in 4 at home though
  • Conceded in their last 5 home matches.
  • 3 consecutive home defeats ended with a 2-2 draw last time out
  • 4 of 5 home defeats were 0-1
  • Beaten 5th-11th inclusive at home- and playing 8th today.

FC Botosani

  • No win in 2 away
  • Despite a solid run of wins, this has to be put into context. They have lost away to top 5 sides and lost all matches home and away v top 3 sides.

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • Steaua have scored 3-2-3 in their last 3 matches so are warming up for the 3/4 goals expected of a 1.15 shot today. Botosani lose away top top 5 and home and away v top 3 so I do not expect them to win today. Therein lies our angle. Also 1.15 shots as you know suggest a goal before halftime so lay the 0-0 halftime score, particularly if it is 0-0 late in the first half.
  • If Botosani score first in the first half, lay them in the HALF TIME market.
