Some prices taken from www.willhill.com
www.soccerstats.com was down for a number of these matches, which robbed me of key stats, such as halftime , and a clearer look at the sequences. The research will be less complete for those matches where the website was down.
Some good calls yesterday included the correct score in the NEC game 0-2. The Falkenberg v Malmo match was profitable if you sided with Malmo who were 2-0 down, brought it to 2-2, eventually finishing at 3-3.
The ADO v Vitesse match saw an ADO goal in the 85th minute. I suppose layers of the 0-0 would have profited here. It is difficult to trust top Eredivisie teams at this stage of the season .
Good research in the Achilles match. De Graafschap beat them again 1-3 and the 76% over 2.5 goals stat came good . I hope you profited from it.
Roda v Jong Twente was excellent. 71% over 2.5 goals and I backed 2-2 pre-match. Were you on? The match finished 2-2. Superb stuff.
I backed another 2-2 in the Mainz match. Mainz came up with their 2 goals but Schalke did not score.
Marseille v Lorient. You could tell both sides wanted a win here. Lorient took a 0-2 lead - that's one of our triggers as you'll read below. Marseille equalised 2-2. That's another trigger - a DESMOND TUTU . And it ended 3-5.
All in all, a surprisingly good evening given the matches we were left with. I was very pleased. Some of the over 2.5 goals stats were superb and bagging a 2-2 correct score made my evening.
Where I mention BANKER below, this signifies those matches where I think the favourites should win. These matches I would personally prioritise as regards DRT.
Remember the strategies:
Lay the 0-0 halftime score in certain signalled matches
Lay the 0-0 2nd half in matches where goals were expected but have not yet materialised
Lay the 2-2 scoreline, especially early on in matches. 2-2 shows us that teams are scoring and conceding.
Lay the away team leading 0-2 before halftime, especially if they are not favourites. The home team is usually galvanised by the halftime team talk.
Lay the underdog if they score first in certain matches (especially BANKER matches where I would back the BANKERS if they conceded first at enhanced odds)
Lay the underdog scoring early in the first half, in the HALF TIME market , especially in BANKER matches.

12:45 UK Southampton v Tottenham - 2.05 home
Standout Stats
- 5 consecutive Spurs wins in head to heads.
- 2-3, 3-2, 1-0 in the last 3 head to heads.
- This is 7th v 6th, on 56 and 57 points, with Liverpool in 5th on 57 points, and Man City on 64 points.
Southampton ( Saints)
- 3 consecutive home wins
- 3 consecutive home clean sheetsv Hull, Burnley and Palace
- v top 8 at home, losses v 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 8th
- Against top 11 at home, Saints have only scored more than 1 goal in a single match once
- 2 0-0's at home
- 18 of 29 goals scored at home came 2nd half.
- Scored first in 11 of 17 home matches
Spurs
- Failed to score in 3 of their last 5 but managed 3 goals against Newcastle last match.
- 3 defeats in 12 were against Liverpool, Man Utd and Aston Villa
- Only 4 clean sheets in 26 matches.
- Have not beaten any team above them away from home and playing a team a single place below them today.
- Only lost 1 away match v teams below them in the league
- 81% over 2.5 goals away
Profitable In-Play Opportunities
- Spurs 81% over 2.5 goals away from home stands out here. It suggests laying any team leading 2-0.
- Saints are vulnerable to top 8 sides . I think Spurs could score again, having ended a barren spell with 3 against Newcastle.
- Both teams to score?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
14:30 UK FC Koln v Bayer Leverkusen - 1.8 away
Standout Stats
- Only 1 recent relevant head to head saw a Bayer 5-1 home win in November 2014
- This is 12th v 3rd in the Bundesliga. Bayer are 7 points shy of 2nd place.Koln are 7 points above relegation. So there is something still for these 2 sides to play for.
Koln
- No defeat in 7 at home
- Scored and conceded in their last 4 at home
- 4 0-0's in 11 matches is a high %
- 5 draws in their last 7 home matches.
- Failed to score against 1st and 4th at home
- 5 0-0's at home
Leverkusen
- 7 match winning streak, 3 away
- No defeat in 8 overall
- Scored in their last 7 away and last 11 overall
- Prolific scorers of late.4-2-1-3-4-1-4-3-4 scored recently.
- 6 clean sheets in their last 7 matches.
- Only 1 0-0 in their last 10 matches at halftime
- 3 of 5 losses this season came v top 2.
- Only 1 0-0 away
Profitable In-Play Opportunities
- 0-0 seems to be in play with Koln at home but Leverkusen are in such good goalscoring form that I cannot see Koln holding them at bay. It is advantage Leverkusen today although with 15 points available, Koln are not out of the woods.
- Take a chance and lay the 0-0 halftime score. We would be keeping faith on Leverkusen scoring rather than Koln's preponderance for 0-0's
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
14:30 UK Stuttgart v Freiburg - 1.83 home
Standout Stats
- 5 consecutive Bundesliga wins for Stuttgart in head to heads.
- This is 17th v 14th in the Bundesliga. Freiburg are currently 2 points from the bottom 3. Stuttgart with a win will possibly join another 2 teams on 29 points but remain 3rd bottom on goal difference. It is really critical more so for the home side, to get a win today
- Another match affected by soccerstats being down
Stuttgart
- Only 2 wins in 13 matches came at home in their last 3 matches and saw them score 3 goals in each.
- Stuttgart failed to score in 7 of 8 home matches until getting those 3 goals in the last 2 home matches.
- They have now scored 2-0-3-3 in their last 4 home matches.
Freiburg
- Only 4 wins in 18 matches is worse than a win every 4 matches.
- Freiburg have perversely kept 3 clean sheets in their last 4 matches.
- That suddenly ended with a 2-3 loss at home to Mainz.
- Failed to score in 5 of their last 6 away matches , winning the one they did score in.
- Only 2 wins away since March 2014 were to nil. Will they really stop Stuttgart from scoring?
Profitable In-Play Opportunities
- I would have to oppose Freiburg today based on consistently dire away form. They do, though, play a side with only 2 wins in 13 matches and suddenly hitting the onion bag with regularity, 8 goals in 4 home matches should see them gain an important 3 points today if clicking again at home. Freiburg's troubles scoring should help Stuttgart today.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
14:30 UK Borussia Dortmund v Eintracht Frankfurt - 1.33 home
Standout Stats
- 2-0 win for Frankfurt last head to head.
- Dortmund usually dominate head to heads.
- This is 9th v 10th in the Bundesliga. Both teams on the same points. They are 6 points shy of a top 6 spot.
Dortmund
- Beat Paderborn 3-0 at home recently when similarly priced.
- Only 2 defeats in 9 home matches were 0-1.The last 4 defeats at home were 0-1
- Only 2 losses in 10 were v top 3 sides.
- 1/2 of home matches are 0-0 at halftime
- 15 of 19 home goals scored 2nd half
Frankfurt
- Conceded in their last 14 away matches.
- 4 match losing streak away.
- No win in 8 away
- Heavy concessions away of late - 3-4-2-3-4-3-3 in recent away matches.
- Jekyll and Hyde. Far better at home
- Failed to score in their last 2 matches.
- Losses away v 8th-17th inclusive
- 86% over 2.5 goals away
- Only 1 0-0 all season
- 20 goals conceded in the last 1/2 hour of matches.
Profitable In-Play Opportunities
- Fear not if this is 0-0 at halftime. These 2 have a great record 2nd half.
- If Dortmund click, they could score 2/3 goals at least today against a Frankfurt who are Sunday League away from home, but very strong at home.
- 86% over 2.5 goals suggests that either Dortmund score 3+ goals or both teams score and one team wins 2-1?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
14:30 UK Hannover 96 v Hoffenheim - 2.4 home
Standout Stats
- 4-3-4 scored by the Hoff in the last 3 head to heads.
- They won 4-3 in the last match. More of that today please!
- This is 15th v 8th in the Bundesliga.Hannover are only 2 points clear of relegation. The Hoff are safe from relegation, albeit not mathematically so, and are eyeing 5th/6th spot with a couple of good results
Hannover
- 13 without a win is part of a run of only 1 win in 18 matches.
- Scored and conceded in 9 of their last 10 matches
- All draws since September 2014 were score draws.
- Scored and conceded in 8 of their last 9 matches at home
Hoffenheim
- 3 consecutive defeats, 2 were against the top 3 in the league.
- Last 3 wins came at home
- Long running poor record away from home.
- Only 2 wins in 14 away matches this season
- Have conceded heavily away from home in some away matches - 3-4-1-0-3-3-1-3-0-3
Profitable In-Play Opportunities
- These 2 are in dire form, Hannover overall and Hoffenheim away from home. Despite not threatening goals away, the Hoff tend to score plenty when meeting Hannover.
- With that potential in mind, back both teams to score, lay the 0-0 halftime score and lay any late 0-0 score here in the expectation for goals.
- Do bear in mind these 2 are on a downward spiral. Needs are greater for Hannover than the Hoff
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
15:00 UK Burnley v Leicester - 2.5 home
Standout Stats
- 2-2 the last time these 2 met pretty much sums up the odds and general impression about this match. Difficult to call.
- 20th v 18th and 2 points separates these 2.
- 4 of Burnley's 5 wins this season came at home, 3 were 1-0. Burnley are actually unbeaten at home to 13th and lower with 4 draws and wins v bottom 3 sides.
- Burnley have failed to score in 6 of their last 7 matches but have generally played the top 1/2 teams.
- Burnley have had 9 0-0's at halftime at home
- Leicester have 3 away wins, 2 were 0-1. They have only played one of the teams below them away, a 3-2 loss.
- 3 consecutive wins for Leicester see them scoring 2-3-2 goals
- They have scored 2-0-3-3 in their last 4 away matches
Profitable In-Play Opportunities
- This is an easier assignment for a Burnley side struggling to score v top half teams. Burnley remain unbeaten v 13th and lower so must be positive today of a precious 3 points. Leicester have 3 wins at just the right time and are scoring 2+ goals regularly overall and away.
- An argument can be made for both sides today which is why I will leave this match alone. Burnley's unbeaten home record v 13th and lower v Leicester's 2+ goals recently and 3 goals in each of their last 2 aways. Who will out? If I had to nail my colours to the mast, I would take Leicester to outscore Burnley on current form.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
15:00 UK Newcastle v Swansea - 2.3 home
Standout Stats
- 4 Swansea wins and a 2-2 draw in the last 5 head to heads.
- This is 14th v 8th in the Premiership. Newcastle are currently 7 points clear of relegation. Swansea are safe and 9 points shy on 7th spot.
Newcastle
- 6 match losing streak , 3 at home.
- To be fair it has been a tough run in for the Geordies v the likes of Man City, Man Utd, Everton, Arsenal, Sunderland, Liverpool and Tottenham. Were they really going to get positives from this lot?
- They have scored in 7 of their last 8 at home.
- Equally, though, they have failed to score in 4 of their last 6 matches
- Only 1 draw v top 8 home and away was away to Swansea 2-2
- Only 1 0-0
- 8 0-0's at halftime at home ( 50%)
Swansea
- No draw in 6 away
- Recent wins v Man Utd impress but expected to beat, I suppose, Burnley , Aston Villa and Hull
- Lost to Leicester though latest suggests an inconsistent side.
- Only 1 loss v 14th and lower home and away.4 clean sheets in 6 away to teams below Newcastle in the league
Profitable In-Play Opportunities
- 5 matches remain, 15 points and Newcastle are 7 points clear of relegation. A win today sees that gap become larger. But this Newcastle have had a really tough set of fixtures against solid sides ( and a local derby v a Sunderland side who have had the measure of them recently).
- This presents a slightly easier match for Newcastle today but Swansea have only lost 1 home and away v 14th and lower.
- Not a match I want to dwell on.
- Lay any late draw seems to be the only angle I can confidently get here.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
15:00 UK Salzburg v Ried - 1.2 home
Standout Stats
- 5-4-3-4-2-4-2 scored by Red Bull in recent head to heads.
- This is 1st v 6th in Austria
Red Bull
- 3 match home winning streak
- 2-2-3-3-6 scored recently
- 4 wins in their last 5 at home
- Failed to score in only 2
- 87% over 2.5 goals at home
- 73% over 3.5 goals at home
SV Reid
- 2 match winning streak away - 3 wins in their last 4 away
Profitable In-Play Opportunities
- Although it was 2-2 last time these 2 met, Salzburg tend to simply outscore Reid and could score 3/4 goals today. Reid had a couple of 0-1 wins away so will be out for a smash and grab but Salzburg have scored in 93% of home matches.
- 1.2 suggests a goal should come before halftime
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
15:00 UK Cowdenbeath v Hearts - 1.36 away
Standout Stats
- 5-1, 0-2, 10-0 in 3 head to heads this season.
- Hearts have won the title so are treading water, albeit winning as NEC do.
- Cowdenbeath are a point above the relegation places.
Cowdenbeath
- Only 2 matches remain.
- Only 4 draws all season
- Recently conceded 4, albeit away, to QOTS and Rangers.
- Only 1 0-0 at home
Hearts
- Haven't needed to win for a while now but 11 wins in 13 tells everything. The defeats were to Hibs and Rangers.
- No draw in 15 and in 11 away
- Lost their last 2 away matches v Hibs and Rangers.
- 4-3-2-3-3 scored before that
Profitable In-Play Opportunities
- 10-0 last time out is as emphatic as it gets.
- This is Hearts if they want it, but with only 2 matches remaining, the Cow might be stubborn.
- Head to heads are emphatic and Hearts will want to arrest a 2 match losing streak away
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
15:00 UK Crystal Palace v Hull - 2.05 home
Standout Stats
- Palace 1-0, Hull 2-0 in recent head to heads.
- This is 11th v 17th . Palace on 42 points are 14 points clear of trouble. Hull are in the mire on 28 points, only out of the relegation zone care of 1 goal goal difference!
Palace
- Alan Pardew's arrival at Palace has heralded goals and the comfort of relative safety.5 matches remain and Palace are 14 points clear of trouble.
- 2 wins and a draw at home to the bottom 3 augurs well today.BUT against 12th -16th at home, Palace have not won.
- Palace have scored and conceded in 7 of their last 9 matches.
- Palace have conceded in their last 13 matches and thankfully recently have simply outscored their opponents.
Hull
- From relative comfort to panic stations. Hull need 3 points from today's match. Simple as.
- Only 2 away wins though is problematic.
- No win in 6 for Hull and they have lost their last 3.
- 0-0-1-0-0-1 scored in recent away matches.
- 9 0-0's at halftime away
Profitable In-Play Opportunities
- On the bare form, Palace have to be favoured today against a Hull side scoring only 1 in 6 away matches.
- Palace do tend to concede at home which could open the door for Hull. Palace have been ropey at home to 12th-16th and play 17th today BUT remain unbeaten v bottom 3.
- Form wise , I would be on Palace's side and lay Hull if Hull score first ( although may back 0-1 insurance given Hull need the win). Hull rarely score 2 goals away.
- This could be 0-0 at halftime.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
15:00 UK Stoke v Sunderland - 1.95 home
Standout Stats
- Teams alternating with wins in the last 4 head to heads
- This is 9th v 16th in the Premiership.Need is far greater for the away side points wise.
Stoke
- No draw in 6 at home
- Scored in their last 4 and conceded in their last 5
- Scored in their last 8 at home
- Only 2 home draws. Rather inconsistent at home not winning or losing against a team in , say the top , middle or bottom 1/3rd. Seem able to beat or lose to a team in any section of the league.
Sunderland
- No win in 7 away.
- Conceded in their last 6 away
- Only 3 wins in 26 matches. 2 of the wins were 1-0 and one was a 2-0.
- Only 1 win home and away v top 10.
- 8 0-0's at halftime away
- 15 of 22 goals conceded away came 2nd half
Profitable In-Play Opportunities
- Advantage Stoke really based on Sunderland's record v top 10 home and away. Stoke though are unreliable due to inconsistency in reading their results. Stoke tend to score at home so if 0-0 at halftime, expect a goal 2nd half.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
15:00 UK West Brom v Liverpool - 1.91 away
Standout Stats
- Both teams have scored in the last 3 head to heads with 2 Liverpool wins and a 1-1 at West Brom.
- Do remember West Brom are under new manager Pulis, but his famed defensive set ups do not seem to be serving him at all.
- This is 13th v 5th in the Premiership, seeing West Brom 8 points clear of relegation and Liverpool 7 points shy of a top 4 berth with a game in hand over 3rd and 4th.
West Brom
- No draw in 12 at home
- Scored in their last 5 at home
- 4 defeats in their last 5 matches, conceding 3-4-3 - most unlike a Pulis team.
- 3 losses and a 2-2 draw at home to top 6
- Have beaten Southampton, Swansea and Stoke 1-0, 2-0, 1-0
- Not yet beaten any top 5 side home or away
- No 0-0 at home
Liverpool
- No draw in 8 overall
- 6 wins and 2 losses in their last 8
- Losses v Man Utd and Arsenal.
- 6 consecutive away clean sheets until meeting Arsenal away last time out.
- Liverpool are patchy away. Lost to 3rd, 4th, 5th. wins v 6th, 7th, 8th. 3 losses and a draw v 10th-14th inclusive. All wins v 15th and lower.
- Only 1 0-0 away
Profitable In-Play Opportunities
- Liverpool are patchy away from home. They have not beaten the cluster of teams around West Brom's position away . Both teams have avoided the draw lately. Lay the late draw.
- West Brom are Jekyll and Hyde. Conceding 3-4-3 then clean sheet. Similarly v top sides, wins to nil v 7th-9th but 3 losses and a 2-2 v top 6.
- Liverpool should have too much. They are the form side who have only lost recently to Man Utd and Arsenal and remember had that amazing run of away clean sheets.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
15:00 UK Espanyol v Barcelona - 1.28 away
Standout Stats
- 5-1 to Barcelona last head to head.
- This is 10th v 1st.14 points clear of relegation, Espanyol are 10 points shy of top 6 .
- Barcelona have a 2 point gap over Real Madrid.
Espanyol
- Unbeaten in 6 matches with 4 draws.
- 4 clean sheets in those 6 matches saw a 0-0 v Atl Madrid
- 5 clean sheets in their last 7 home matches.
- Not beaten top 7 at home , yet to play top 2 at home.
- 80% of halftime scores have been 1-0, 0-0 or 0-1.
- Tend to score most goals in the last 1/4 hour of each half.
Barcelona
- No defeat in 7 away
- 13 wins in 15 matches.
- 4 clean sheets in 6 matches.
- Scored 2+ goals in 7 of their last 8 matches
- Only 4 defeats, 3 were 1-0
- 10 clean sheets away
- 21 of 35 away goals scored 2nd half.
Profitable In-Play Opportunities
- Home side are yet to meet the top 2 at home and have failed to beat any top 7. They have been great defensively and may give Barca a test today. 5 clean sheets in their last 7 at home is great, and they kept Atl Madrid out.
- Barca should, if firing, score 2 goals at least today.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
16:00 UK Paris Saint-Germain v Lille - 1.33 home
Standout Stats
- Struggles for PSG in head to heads with a couple of draws and a couple of 1-0 wins in recent matches.
- This is 2nd v 8th in the French Ligue 1.Lyon and PSG are equal on points but PSG have a 7 goal deficit with Lyon at the top.
- Lille are only 9 points shy of 3rd spot, so tight is it at the top
PSG
- Only 3 losses all season
- 3 match home winning streak
- No defeat in 15 at home
- Scored and conceded in their last 5 matches and last 4 at home
- Scored and conceded in 8 of their last 9 matches.
- Failed to score in only 4 matches
- Consistent big scoring recently- 2-3-0-4-2-3-3-3
- 16 first half and 18 2nd half goals scored at home
- Only 2 goals conceded first half at home
- No opponent has led at PSG at home
Lille
- 3 match winning streak
- No draw in 8 overall
- 6 wins in their last 7 matches
- No win away v top 6
- 1/2 of away matches are 0-0 at halftime.
Profitable In-Play Opportunities
- 18 potential points remaining in this season and that means Lille can still better their position and PSG can get that title win . PSG must win in order to pressurise Lyon to win their next match and so it will go on until one of the 2 slip up.
- Head to heads have not been as emphatic as a 1.33 quote would suggest. PSG though have started scoring 2+ really regularly so the timing is perfect.
- Lay Lille in the halftime market if they score first half.
- Both teams could score today .
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
17:00 UK Atletico Madrid v Elche - 1.18 home
Standout Stats
- 3 consecutive 2-0 wins for Atl Madrid in head to heads.
- This is 3rd v 14th in La Liga.
- Atl are 7 points shy of 2nd place so not mathematically out of the title race.
- Elche are 6 points above relegation so still in the equation.
Atl Madrid
- 2 match home winning streak
- No defeat in 8 at home and 9 overall
- Only 1 loss in their last 14 matches
- Scored 2 goals in each of their last 5 matches.
- 6 clean sheets in their last 9 matches.
- 7 wins in their last 8 home matches.
- Have scored 2 goals by halftime in their last 5 matches.
- Only 1 loss at home
- All wins at home v 13th and lower scoring 2+ goals.
- Only 1 0-0 at halftime at home.25 of 39 home goals scored 1st half.
- No opponent has led at halftime at home
Elche
- 2 match winning streak overall
- Lost all matches home and away v top 5
- Only 1 0-0 away
Profitable In-Play Opportunities
- It looks rather emphatic. Elche lose to top 5 home and away
- Elche are in reasonable form but contextually, they have lost home and away to all top 5 sides. With Atl Madrid having to stay close incase Barca and Real slip, I expect a reasonably comfortable win. What chance 2-0 again? Surely not.
- Lay the 0-0 halftime score while Madrid continue to score before halftime.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
17:30 UK Man City v Aston Villa - 1.25 home
Standout Stats
- 4-0 and 0-2 for City in the last 2 head to heads.
- This is 4th v 15th. City are 12 points shy of 1st, 2 points shy of 2nd and 1 point shy of 3rd. They have played a game more than 1st and 2nd
- Villa are 4 points above Leicester in 3rd bottom having played a game more than Leicester, Hull and Sunderland. They could be in real trouble without something from this match.
- 5 matches remain. This match is a must win if Man City want to stay in the title hunt.
Man City
- 4 match home winning streak.
- No draw in 9 matches
- Scored in their last 5 at home
- 4 consecutive home clean sheets
- An easy enough run of wins v Newcastle, Leicester, West Brom and West Ham. Villa can certainly be grouped in with that lot.
- City's last 4 losses have come away
- Failed to score in only 3 matches.
- Only 2 losses at home v top 9
- No 0-0
- 33 goals scored at home, pretty equally spread between halves.
Aston Villa
- FA Cup finalists beating 1.6 shots Liverpool. Will this be a curse rather than a blessing?
- No draw in 10 away
- 2 wins in their last 3 away matches v Sunderland and Spurs.
- After 6 without a goal away, Villa have now scored in their last 3 away.
- Losses away to top 3 but 0-1 wins away to 5th, 6th, 9th and 11th. All positive away results came while keeping a clean sheet.
- Only 1 0-0 away
- 14 goals conceded 2nd half and only 2 scored.
Profitable In-Play Opportunities
- The market is emphatic. They think City will continue beating these poor teams with ease and to nil as they have done on 4 consecutive occasions at home. They may catch Villa at the right time as they get up for it after winning the FA Cup semi final.
- We have 2 sides desperate for points, and a Villa side now scoring away , albeit a single goal. I cannot see Villa keeping Man City scoreless, ergo Villa will not win today.
- City have had the measure of these strugglers at home and you feel they should today. This is a Must, must win for City as they are mathematically still in the title hunt.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
17:30 UK Bayern Munich v Hertha Berlin - 1.14 home
Standout Stats
- 7 consecutive Bayern head to head wins.
- This is 1st v 13th and Bayern are 12 points clear at the top.Hertha are 7 points clear of the relegation zone.
- 5 matches remain this season - that's 15 available points. Bayern have not won the title yet. If they win today, then it will be 15 points clear ( dependent on other results, namely Wolfsburg, ) with a possible 12 points remaining.
- This could be the match therefore.
Bayern Munich
- Superb at home against Porto in the Champions League mid-week.
- Only 2 losses all season v top 4 sides, only 1 loss at home.
- Beaten all teams 7th and lower at home scoring 2+ goals
- 3 match winning streak
- No draw in 10 matches
- 4 clean sheets in their last 5 matches.
- Failed to score in only 3 matches.
- No 0-0 at home
- Only 2 0-0's at halftime at home
- 20 first half and 23 2nd half goals scored at home.
- Scored first in 12 of 14 home
Hertha Berlin
- No defeat in 7 overall and 3 away
- 4 draws in those 7 matches.
- 5 clean sheets in their last 7 matches includes 2 0-0's
- Lost away to all top 7 conceding 2+ goals in all bar 1 of those matches.
- Only 1 0-0 away
- 17 of 25 goals conceded away came in the 2nd half.
Profitable In-Play Opportunities
- This should not end 0-0.
- Note if Hertha keep it tight first half, 1-0 or 0-0, they should concede far more in the 2nd half.
- The fact remains Hertha have lost to all top 7 away so far and should concede at least 2 goals.
- Remember 1.14 shots usually mean a goal before halftime, and 3/4 at least for the home side.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
18:00 UK Zadar v Dinamo Zagreb - 1.53 away
Standout Stats
- 5 consecutive Zagreb wins in head to heads.
- This is 10th v 1st in Croatia.
Zadar
- 2 match winning streak at home
- 3 wins in their last 4 at home.
- 1-3 loss to Dinamo Zagreb already this season at home.
- No 0-0
Dinamo Zagreb
- No defeat in 28 matches and in 14 away
- 6 draws in their last 8 aways
Profitable In-Play Opportunities
- Clearly the draw is in play for Dinamo Zagreb in away matches but it is telling that they won 1-3 this season at Zadar. Enough to back them today? It is a league of only 10 teams and over familiarity could breed awareness from the minnows .
- I could see both teams scoring and Dinamo Zagreb not losing today.

19:45 UK Excelsior v PSV Eindhoven - 1.5 away
Standout Stats
- This is 14th v 1st in the Eredivisie.
- PSV are champions, 12 points ahead of 2nd .Excelsior are 14th, only 3 points ahead of 3rd bottom.
- There are 3 matches remaining.
- Given the way the likes of Ajax and Feyenoord downed tools last weekend, I cannot trust any of the top teams at this part of the season. Their minds seem to be on not getting injured just as their summer hols are about to start.
- A quick look at Excelsior shows that they have lost all matches played home and away v top 4 sides.
- PSV have beaten all sides 9th and lower.
- Excelsior have scored and conceded in their last 5 matches.
- PSV have no draw in 18
Profitable In-Play Opportunities
- There is no point researching this fully simply because we don't know which PSV will turn up. Excelsior still need points but can't beat the top 4. Lay any late draw? PSV keep avoiding them.
- Both teams to score? As Excelsior battle for survival?
