Review of yesterday's matches.

Basel v Sion was one  sided, in Sion's favour. The in-play stats pointed clearly to Sion.

Ireland v England ended 0-0 in what was a dull match.

Russia v Belarus was an interesting friendly. Russia led. Belarus fought back to a 1-2. Russia equalised (a 2-2) and a 4-0 final win for Russia.

PK-35 won 5-1.

Girona scored first v Lugo but Lugo equalised 90th minute, thus ending Girona's very very slim hopes of winning the title.

Sabadell v Osasuna was an interesting match. Remember that in the research I mentioned that Osasuna needed at least a draw. So what do you do when Sabadell take a 2-0 lead? You lay them in the hope Osasuna wake up! 2-2 it ended.

Mjondalen v Sarpsborg I put up as an over 1.5 goals banker. 1-1 it ended. Both teams scored and laying the 0-0 halftime score came in. No over 4.5 goals this time though.

The Stabaek match was great. Bodo Glimt scored first and conceded at least 2 goals as per the research. 3-2 it ended for Stabaek. They have now had a 2-2, 2-3 and 3-2 in recent matches.

Kristiansund v Byrne was good research wise. Byrne scored first and I advised laying them. Kristiansund equalised. Both teams scored.

In the Sandnes match, I advised laying any team 2-0 up as both teams were likely to score. Well, Sandnes scored first, Baerum scored the next 2 goals. The match ended 3-2.

When Leganes scored first, and early, I hope you reacted as Zaragoza needed to win. They actually led 1-2 before halftime and it was 2-2 at halftime. A profitable trade. Remember, we merely need a 'HINT" that what we want to happen will happen.

Real Betis obviously had too much Sangria. Playing at home, title in the bag, they lost 0-3.

Ponferradina's match, I argued, was a must-win. So what do you do when Alcorcon score first? You lay them. Ponf did equalise.

Norway women won 4-0 and missed a penalty. Not quite the goal fest I assumed.

France v Belgium was a 3-4 win. A humdinger but no trading angle.

Brazil won 2-0 - another clean sheet and another friendly win.

On to today....

Where I mention BANKER below, this signifies those matches where I think the favourites should win. These matches I would personally prioritise as regards DRT.

Remember the strategies:

Lay the 0-0 halftime score in certain signalled matches.

Lay the 0-0 2nd half in matches where goals were expected but have not yet materialised.

Lay the 2-2 scoreline, especially early on in matches. 2-2 shows us that teams are scoring and conceding.

Lay the away team leading 0-2 before halftime, especially if they are not the pre-market favourites. The home team is usually galvanised by the halftime team talk.

Lay the underdog if they score first in certain matches (especially BANKER matches where I would back the BANKERS if they conceded first at enhanced odds).

Lay the underdog scoring early in the first half, in the HALF TIME market, especially in BANKER matches.

Do note matches where one team is red carded. The opponents do tend to score next more often than not.

Shamrock, Slovenia and Egypt's matches are the 3 I will focus on today.

1:30pm - Cambodia U23 v Singapore U23  - 1.36 away

Standout Stats

  • This is the South East Asian Games.
  • No recent head to heads. The last came in 2011
  • In the South East Asian games so far, Cambodia U23 have beaten Phillipines U23 3-1 and lost 6-1 to Indonesia U23
  • Singapore u23 , so far, beat Phillipines U23 0-1 and lost 1-2 to Myanmar u23.

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • No recent head to heads. Little to go on either. Singapore U23's form is poor. You are either with the market or not. I will leave this match alone.

4:30pm - Slovenia U21 v Andorra U21  - 1.02 home

Standout Stats

  • Unbackable Norway women won 4-0 and missed a penalty. They scored before halftime and kept a clean sheet.
  • This is the angle into today's match.

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • 2 consecutive 5-0 head to heads wins for Slovenia U21 so let that be your angle in today. I will back 5-0, 7-0 and 8-0 today .
  • Lay the 0-0 halftime score if this is 0-0 for a while.

6:45pm - Turkey v Bulgaria  - 1.87 home

Standout Stats

  • No head to heads since 2012
  • Turkey have a surprisingly good recent record in friendlies. In their last 10 friendlies, they have won 8 and lost only 2 v the USA and Brazil.
  • 3 consecutive home wins v Northern Ireland, Belarus and Sweden ended with a loss v Brazil.
  • 2 consecutive draws for Bulgaria. Only 1 loss in 6 friendlies was against Macedonia.
  • Bulgaria have failed to score in their last 2 away matches.

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • Not a match to prioritise. Lay any late draw? Turkey have avoided the draw in their last 10 matches, winning 8 of them.
  • Lay Bulgaria if they score first, but they have had trouble scoring in away matches in friendlies.

7pm - Denmark v Montenegro  - 1.73 home

Standout Stats

  • Only 1 draw in 11 matches for Denmark in friendlies.
  • 3 losses in their last 4 matches though for Denmark in friendlies v Turkey, Romania, and France.
  • No draw in 12 at home in friendlies for Denmark.
  • 4 wins in their last 5 friendlies at home v Georgia, Norway, Sweden, and USA.
  • Beware Montenegro. They have some decent friendly form. Only 2 losses in 12 friendlies were v Albania and Slovakia.
  • A 2-2 with Belgium is eye-catching but other positive results came v the likes of Luxembourg, Iran, Latvia, and Iceland.
  • Only 1 win in 9 away friendlies was against Luxembourg.

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • Montenegro's away record in friendlies is poor. Both teams could score today with Montenegro not winning.
  • Lay any late draw here incase Denmark keep avoiding friendly draws.

7pm - Egypt v Malawi  - 1.43 home

Standout Stats

  • These 2 have not met since 2008
  • This is another friendly.
  • Only 1 loss for Egypt in 12 friendlies came against Chile.
  • 3 friendly wins were v Uganda. All wins bar one v Bosnia, were v African countries and all wins were to nil
  • 6 consecutive wins at home in friendlies, all to nil.
  • Only 3 wins in 23 friendlies for Malawi. 0-0 and 0-1 win over Zambia in the last 2 head to heads.
  • Failed to score in 6 of their last 9 away friendlies.

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • Malawi's record is poor in friendlies away from home. I would have to favour Egypt here and lay Malawi if Malawi score first.

  • 4 consecutive losses for Malta in friendlies. They failed to score.
  • Friendly wins have come against Luxembourg, San Marino, Liechtenstein, and Faroe Islands.
  • At home, Malta are unbeaten in 6 matches. Wins v Central African Republic, Liechtenstein, and Faroe Islands.
  • No win in 11 friendlies for Lithuania.

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • Malta tend to perform well v the "minnows". Lithuania are a marginal step above these "minnows". It's a tough match to get a handle on as these 2 teams are poor and this is a friendly.

Standout Stats

  • The most relevant recent head to head was a friendly 4-2 to Sweden.

Norway

  • Only 1 win in 11 matches was v Moldova.
  • Norway have failed to score in only 3 matches.
  • Norway have failed to score in 4 of their last 6 home friendlies.
  • No win in 8 of 9 friendlies at home.

Sweden

  • Only 1 draw in friendlies since 2011.
  • 5 losses in their last 8 friendlies 3 of the defeats were 1-0.
  • 3 consecutive losses away in friendlies 2-1 Turkey, 1-0 Denmark, 1-0 France.

  • Lay any late draw. That is my only angle in here.

  • This is 3rd v 9th in the Irish Premier Division.

Shamrock Rovers.

  • Unbeaten this season
  • 3 match home winning run.
  • 4 wins in their last 5 matches at home.
  • 3-2-1-3-5 scored at home recently.
  • 10 clean sheets this season.

Derry City

  • No win in 6 matches.
  • Conceded in their last 4 matches.
  • Failed to score in 4 of their last 5 matches.
  • Only 3 wins this season.
  • Failed to score in 4 of their last 5 away matches.

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • Head to heads are tight. We have a home team scoring plenty at home v an away side failing to score in 4 of their last 5 away matches. It looks like Shamrock should out-score Derry here. That is my angle in. Lay Derry should they score first. The 10 clean sheets for Shamrock Rovers suggests the home side should score first.

9pm - Sweden (W) v Nigeria (W)  - 1.36 home

Standout Stats

  • No recent head to heads.
  • I only have the last world cup to work on. In 2011 Swedish ladies were superb, winning 5 matches and losing one.
  • Nigeria women lost 1-0 to France, 1-0 to Germany and 0-1 win v Canada.

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • I would favour Swedish ladies today but there is little to work on.
