Where I mention BANKER below, this signifies those matches where I think the favourites should win. These matches I would personally prioritise as regards DRT.

Remember the strategies:

Lay the 0-0 halftime score in certain signalled matches

Lay the 0-0 2nd half in matches where goals were expected but have not yet materialised

Lay the 2-2 scoreline, especially early on in matches. 2-2 shows us that teams are scoring and conceding.

Lay the away team leading 0-2 before halftime, especially if they are favourites. The home team is usually galvanised by the halftime team talk.

Lay the underdog if they score first in certain matches (especially BANKER matches where I would back the BANKERS if they conceded first at enhanced odds).

Lay the underdog scoring early in the first half, in the HALF TIME market, especially in BANKER matches.

Do note matches where one team is red carded. The opponents do tend to score next more often than not.

I really cannot get enthused about leagues such as the Romanian and Latvian leagues. Oh Lordy! Bring back the big European leagues, and quickly.

4pm - Astra Giurgiu v Otelul Galati  - 1.3 home

Standout Stats

  • 2 consecutive 1-1 draws in head to heads.
  • This is 4th v 18th in the Romanian top league. 18th is bottom.

  • No win in 3 home matches
  • Scored and conceded in their last 3 matches.
  • 3 losses at home v 9th, 12th and 16th, 2 were 0-1.
  • Beat 17th 2-1 at home

  • Unbeaten in 4 matches.
  • Only 4 wins all season.2 came recently
  • Failed to score in 19 matches all season.
  • 2 wins away v 2nd and 17th.

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • A messy match. On paper, Astra win easily against bottom. But this team has beaten 2nd away from home and are unbeaten in 4 matches with 2 of their 4 wins coming recently.
  • Astra have no win in 3 home matches and did beat 17th 2-1 at home.
  • A match I think I'll leave alone. Perhaps lay Astra if they score first.

4pm - Skonto FC v BFC Daugavpils  - 1.21 home

Standout Stats

  • 3 wins to nil and a 1-0 for BFC in the last 4 head to heads.
  • This is 5th v 6th in the Latvian top flight.
  • In a league of only 6 teams, over familiarity can suggest shocks.
  • Only 5 matches played this season. 4 consecutive clean sheets for Skonto and remember those clean sheets in wins in head to heads?
  • BFC have a similar record this season to Skonto. Losing their first match and 2 draws and 2 wins in the last 4. BFC have failed to score in only 1 match.

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • I am leaving this alone. A league of only 8 teams is a precarious league to participate in. Form wise, Skonto should win to nil.

4:30pm - FK Krasnodar v Amkar - 1.4 home

Standout Stats

  • Both teams have scored in the last 6 head to heads.
  • Krasnador are unbeaten in those head to heads where we have seen 3 2-2 scorelines.
  • This is 2nd v 14th in the Russian Premier League. Krasnador are 9 points shy of Zenit. A win for Amkar takes them out of the bottom 4

  • Wealth warning! We saw yesterday that trusting other than the top team (ZENIT!) in Russia is a worry. But let's see what the form brings up.
  • 7 wins in 9 matches. 4 matches remain in this league so Krasnador must win today to keep the pressure on Zenit. All it takes if for Zenit to draw a match and Krasnador will be sniffing blood.
  • 4-2-3-1-1-3 scored in recent matches.
  • Failed to score in only 4 matches.
  • 7 wins in 9 home matches.
  • Lost at home to  12th, drew v 13th.
  • No 0-0 at home
  • Only 1 0-0 at home at halftime

Amkar Perm

  • No win in 13 away matches.
  • Conceded in their last 13 away matches.
  • 4 defeats in their last 5 away matches.
  • Only 1 loss in 5 matches saw 3 wins, at home.
  • Lost to 1st, 3rd and 4th away 2-0, 2-1 and 5-0. Have not scored more than 1 goal in a single match this season.
  • No 0-0 away

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • This looks good for the home team. Cracking home form recently and the requisite motivation to close down on Zenit St Petersburg. Amkar have not won in 13, why on earth do you think they'll suddenly win today when they have lost away to the other top 4.
  • Both teams could score today as they have done in head to heads. Krasnador need to score one more to win as scorelines have been 2-1 and 2-2.
  • Backing 2-2 pre match might be a value and fun angle in here. I do not expect Krasnador to lose, but as to trusting them to win? Well you saw what that did for Dinamo Moscow . Zenit, on the other hand, are trustworthy as you saw yesterday because they have the class players.

4:30pm - HJK Helsinki v VPS  - 1.26 home

Standout Stats

  • 0-2 HJK, 3-0 HJK, 1-1 in the last 3 head to heads.
  • This is 2nd v 12th in the Finnish Top league. HJK could go top with a win. Only 6 matches played so far.

  • Only 1 loss came last match. Surely not a 2nd consecutive loss? Earlier in the season, we looked to break a run of 1-1's and that did end. So this could be an angle in today. Don't expect HJK to lose 2 consecutive matches. If VPS score first or lead late on, lay them
  • 2 consecutive home wins to nil.
  • HJK only failed to score in 1 match and that was their last match.

  • 4 consecutive defeats, having played 2 less matches than HJK.
  • 2 1-0 defeats and 2 3-2 defeats. When VPS lose, it's in competitive matches.

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • Very early in the season. HJK were dominant in head to heads, bar that 1-1 last time out. As I wrote, I will enter this match looking for HJK not to lose. That's the angle in a match with few patterns given only 4-6 matches played.

6:30pm - Ceahlaul v Rapid Bucharest  - 1.48 away

Standout Stats

  • 2-0, 1-1 in the last 2 head to heads.
  • This is 17th v 15th in the Romanian top flight.

  • Only 2 wins in 24 matches.
  • No win in 12 at home.
  • Scored and conceded in their last 2 at home.
  • Only 1 home win v 11th.
  • Failed to score at home v 14th and lower.
  • Only 2 0-0's at home

Rapid Bucharest

  • No defeat in 4 and in 2 away
  • 3 losses away ended with a win and draw away.
  • 2 wins and 2 draws in the last 4 matches.
  • Lost away v 14th and 18th.

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • Goodness me. 2 dire teams meet and the away team is a strong favourite because the home team are worse than them! Rapid Bucharest - can they be trusted, having already lost away to 14th and 18th.
  • As you can tell, it's the dying embers of the reliable leagues. Do remember that we don't have to trade these unsuitable matches. We have the power to choose.

7pm - Feyenoord v Vitesse - 1.89 home

Standout Stats

  • This is about as appealing as being stuck in a lift with Noel Edmunds. The Dutch season is over, physically, and mentally it seems. What we saw yesterday during the live chat from the Dutch Eredivisie was a number of 0-0's at halftime and goals scored 2nd half. perhaps this is a pattern you'd like to look for in  this match. Only 2 matches remain and these 2 are working towards staying in the top 4.
  • This is Feyenoord's last home match of the season - favour them based on this? Vitesse have lost all matches away v top 7.

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • In another less than ideal match, I would favour Feyenoord today based on Vitesse being dire v top 7 away from home, and this being Feyenoord's last home match of the season. If Vitesse score first therefore, I will lay them. I would also look to lay any late 0-0 here based on yesterday's Eredivisie patterns.

7:45pm - Cork City v Drogheda - 1.27 home

Standout Stats

  • 5 consecutive Cork City wins in head to heads.
  • The last 2 were 1-2 , 2-1
  • This is 2nd v 9th in an Irish Premier League of 12 teams.

Cork City

  • Only 1 loss this season.
  • 5 wins and a 1-2 loss to Dundalk in 6 home matches.
  • Both teams have scored in 4 of the last 5 matches. Cork are winning by scoring just one more goal. So a little too tight.
  • Scored and conceded in the last 4 matches.

  • 7 defeats in their last 10 matches.
  • 4 away defeats in their last 5 matches. 3 1-0 defeats away and 6 of the last 7 defeats were to nil.
  • Only 1 clean sheet.
  • 1-2 v Cork as recently as 17th April.

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • Drogheda tend not to score when they lose. Cork City though tend to concede when winning and win tight matches. So this might be a 1-0, or a 2-1 if it is going to be a win for the home side. Drogheda are in poor form, but note that 4 defeats were only 1-0. I would expect a tight win for Cork. I would lay Drogheda if they score first.

7:45pm - Genoa v Torino  - 2.4 home

Standout Stats

  • 1-1, 2-1 Torino, 2-1 Torino in recent head to heads.
  • This is 8th v 9th in Seria A
  • Top 5 is alive but will require other teams' results to work with them
  • I am not sure that this is a match with the pre-requisite motivation for either team , for us to trust on 100% effort.
  • Genoa have won their last 3 at home so are in excellent recent home form.
  • only 3 wins at home for genoa v top 13, were 1-0
  • Torino have no wins away v top 6, beat 7th away 0-1
  • Torino scored and conceded in 5 of their last 6 matches, with 3 score draws.

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • I cannot get enthused about this match, and neither can the market. There are 4 matches remaining so top 6 is on the horizon. Genoa have the good recent form but their wins v top 11 are only 0-1 at home.

7:45pm - Rayo Vallecano v Getafe  - 1.91 home

Standout Stats

  • 5 Rayo wins in the last 6 head to heads.
  • This is 12th v 14th in La Liga.
  • Getafe are 5 points above the relegation zone.

Rayo Vallecano

  • Looking at the bare form, Rayo are very inconsistent at home. Only 2 draws at home
  • Only 1 win in 6 matches
  • 2 consecutive 1-1 draws
  • 5 wins in their last 7 home matches is a solid enough recent run.
  • 3 wins and 4 defeats at home to teams below them in the league.
  • Only 1 0-0 at home

  • No draw in 9 away
  • 4 match losing streak
  • Failed to score in 3 of their last 4 matches.
  • All defeats away to top 10 and playing 11th today.
  • No 0-0 away
  • 16 first half and 17 2nd half goals conceded away

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • Rayo win in head to heads. Getafe lose away to top 10 so it seems that we can favour the home side today. They have had a recent strong run at home. Getafe though need points and this is why this part of the season makes matches tougher to read.

8pm - Arsenal v Swansea  - 1.32 home

Standout Stats

  • 1-2 Arsenal, 2-2 and 2-1 Swansea in the last 3 head to heads .
  • This is 3rd v 8th in the Premiership. Arsenal have 2 matches in hand over Man City. If they win today they remain 3rd on goal difference but same points as City. They will then have a game in hand.

  • 10 without defeat at home
  • 12 wins in 14 matches.
  • 9 wins and a 0-0 with Chelsea in their last 10 at home
  • Failed to score in only 3 matches
  • All wins bar a 2-2 draw at home v 7th and lower.
  • 75% over 2.5 goals at home
  • Only 1 0-0 at home
  • 23 of 37 goals scored at home in the 2nd half

Swansea City

  • No draw in 7 away
  • 2 match winning streak
  • Against top 10 away, lost to 1st, 2nd, 5th, 6th, 9th , 10th

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • Swansea are more likely to lose today  based on their record away to top 10.
  • Lay any late draw.
  • Arsenal need to win today in order to take advantage of their 2 games in hand.
  • 75% over 2.5 goals at home suggests if Arsenal win, it'll be 3-0, 2-1
  • Lay Swansea if they score first.
